Program 4:00 – 6:00pm Registration begins 30 minutes prior
In its second director event in Maine, the NACD New England Chapter announces a panel discussion on Boardroom Lessons: Risk & Succession. Bringing together among the most seasoned directors across Maine and Northern New England, the panel will address a diverse set of questions many boards struggle with as they grow: how to plan for expected succession? How to deal with unexpected changes in leadership? How to navigate the risks associated with succession, including with talent, morale, leadership pipeline and disruption? What is the role of the Nomination & Governance Committee Chair, and what is the role of the Board Chair? How and when should boards communicate on succession? And how are these issues different for smaller firms?
The panel will be of strong interest both to Maine's newest directors and those with more experience in the boardroom. The panel will address issues for larger companies as well as smaller companies, family businesses and start-ups. Come and network with what is likely to be among the largest gatherings of Maine-based directors. We look forward to welcoming you to our growing network of Maine and Northern New England-based directors.
