About Our Panelists:
Jeffrey Naylor is currently both a public company board director and also a consultant advising private equity firms on potential transactions and matters related to portfolio companies. He is the Managing Director of Topaz Consulting LLC. 2014 through the present. Prior to April 2014, Jeff was a senior executive with The TJX Companies, Inc., the leading off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. and worldwide. He joined the Company as Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, in 2004, and later he took on additional responsibilities for Information Technology, Legal, Strategic Planning and Business Development as its Chief Administrative Officer. In 2013, Jeff became a Senior Advisor, consulting with management and the Board of Directors on matters pertaining to strategy, finance and mergers/acquisitions related activities. Jeff is also a member of the Board of Directors of several public companies: Synchrony Financial (SYF), a consumer financial services company, Emerald Expositions (EEX), an organizer of business-to-business trade shows, Wayfair (W), an ecommerce retailer of home furnishings and décor, and Dollar Tree (DLTR), a leading operator of discount variety stores. He is also on the boards of two U.S. private companies: Save-A-Lot, a chain of discount grocery stores, and Bargain Hunt, a deep discount retailer.
Kristen Ferris, a Partner with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, has a broad-based corporate practice with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions, and corporate and securities law matters. She has extensive experience representing public and private companies, as well as private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, in a variety of merger and acquisition transactions. Kristen routinely represents companies in various industries, including life sciences, technology, retail and manufacturing, in complex M&A transactions. She leads comprehensive integrated deal teams in all aspects of these transactions, including structuring and negotiating mergers, asset and stock transactions, and a variety of other M&A deals. Kristen is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Ellen Zane is the retired President & Chief Executive Officer of Tufts Medical Center and the Floating Hospital for Children (retired 2011). She was the first woman to run the hospital in its 224 year history. Ellen holds two faculty appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine including Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Clinical Care Research, and Assistant Professor of Public Health & Community Medicine. Additionally, Ellen holds a faculty appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. From 1994 to 2004, Ellen held the position of Network President for Partners HealthCare System, Inc. In this capacity, she was responsible for the development of a provider network featuring the Harvard affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women's Hospital. Today, this entity represents one of the largest physician networks in America. Prior to that, Ellen was the Chief Executive Officer at Quincy Hospital in Quincy, Massachusetts. In this capacity, Ellen was an employee of HCA and then Quorum Health Resources. Ellen is currently a Director of Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX), a Director of Brooks Automation (NASDAQ: BRKS), a Director of Haemonetics Corporation (NYSE: HAE) and a Director of Synchrony Financial (NYSE: SYF). She is a Director of AgNovosHealthcare, LLC in New York, NY; a Director of nThrive in Alpharetta, GA; a Director of the National Association of Corporate Directors New England Chapter and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at George Washington University, Washington, DC. Ellen is also the current Chair of the Board of Wellforce (Parent Board of Tufts Medical Center) and a member of the Board of Massachusetts Development Finance Agency.

Frank Jaehnert was President & CEO of Brady Corporation (NYSE: BRC), an international manufacturer of Identification Solutions from 2003 until 2013. Before that he served as its CFO and as a divisional President.Prior to joining Brady in 1995 Frank held various financial positions in Germany and the US at Robert Bosch, a multinational engineering and electronics company. Frank received the equivalent of an MBA from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. He serves on the Boards of Nordson (NASDAQ: NDSN), Briggs & Stratton (NYSE: BGG), Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI), National Material L.P., NACD Chicago and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. (MSOE). He is a Certified Director and a Board Governance Fellow by the National Association of Corporate Directors, and an SEC-designated audit committee “financial expert”. Frank was a regional winner of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year program in 2008, and has served as a regional, national and world judge of the program for many years.
